my alto sax wont play?
my alto saxaphone wont play... And yesterday it was playing good.. it plays my low notes okay but it wont play my high notes like the high d thru every note after it...do u think its the neck.. it seems that the air wont go through when i play it!!!!
First, clean all parts of the saxophone. There is a chance something got into the neck and is blocking air flow. It could also just be a bad reed. Play it piece by piece (mouthpiece only, then mouthpiece and neck, and then all together). Obviously if you can't get any good sound out of just the mouthpiece, or mouthpiece and neck, you know the problem is most likely coming from there. It could be that when you put it away last, you bent a key or unseated a pad. It happens. If you can't get it to work, take it to a technician.
